27" Vintage Navajo Pearl Grand Necklace with Earrings

  • Grand Vintage Navajo Pearl Necklace with Earrings - Historically, Navajo Pearls date back to the late 1500s, with the introduction of silver by Spanish explorers.  Each individual "bead" is made by hand from sterling silver that is melted, rolled, and cut. Holes are punched, rounded, then each bead is sanded and polished. Unlike machine-made beads of perfect uniformity, handmade beads like these will each be unique. There is a revival of interest in handmade beads these days!

This grand vintage necklace is 27" long, with beads that are graduated in size, from 6 to 38, culminating in the 1-3/4" diameter one in the middle, which is decorated with two rows of stamping. Omega earring style earrings match the necklace and are included in the price. A future heirloom and a great necklace for that special night out outfit.
