19" Vintage Squash Blossom Shadowbox Turquoise Necklace

  • Vintage 1950s Squash Blossom Sterling Silver and Turquoise Necklace - Historically, the squash blossom necklace serves as a reminder of the close interaction between the Pueblo and Navajo Indians since the mid-1800s.

This vintage Native-made estate necklace has six side squash blossoms with their stylized fluted petals, emerging from "shadow box" florettes with little dots of green-blue flavored turquoise in an oxidized setting. The  necklace's handmade Navajo Pearls are fluted. The double strand Naja pendant hosts three more florettes at the pinnacle, for a 2" drop. The Naja measures 2.5 x 2" while each florette measures 1-7/8"; the entire necklace is 19" long and has a secure clasp. We have not taken any cleaning chemicals to it, so it has a great vintage patina.
