King's Manassa Turquoise + Sterling Cuff Bracelet

  • King's Manassa Green Turquoise + Sterling Cuff Bracelet - Stamping and shaping surround a most beautiful square-cut stone that measures 1-5/8" x 1-3/8", with deep green and black matrix. The cuff has three thick bands and an angular connecting band which tapers from 1-1/4" tall to half an inch. The now closed Manassa turquoise mine (just up the road from us, in southern Colorado) produced an incredibly wide range of colors and qualities, from deep emerald greens to deep sky-blue. The mine was one of the many turquoise deposits which was actively mined by Native Americans for centuries. I.P. King took over the mine in 1890.  Manassa turquoise is rare in today's market.
